What really happens
on a Cursillo weekend?
It is more than a retreat from everyday life. It is a living encounter with Christ, shared through prayer, friendship, honest conversation, and the joyful witness of other Catholics.
A short course in Christianity
An experience,
not an escape.
Cursillo presents the essentials of Catholic Christian life in a way that is personal, communal, and practical. The weekend is sometimes described as an “advance”—an invitation to move toward Christ and return home ready to live the Gospel more fully.
You do not make the journey alone. Lay people and clergy offer talks, share their own experiences, and create room for reflection. The questions and friendships that begin here are meant to continue long after Sunday afternoon.
From table fellowship to chapel silence

The weekend makes room for laughter, honest conversation, song, quiet prayer, and the Sacraments. Nothing is performed for you; the team simply shares life and faith with you, one moment at a time.
The rhythm of the weekend

The days move naturally between listening and sharing, quiet prayer and lively conversation, sacred moments and laughter around the table.
Small-group reflection
Each talk is followed by time to consider, discuss, ask questions, and listen to one another.
Community sharing
The whole group gathers to notice common threads and learn from each table’s reflections.
Meals and friendship
Unhurried breaks, shared meals, and simple hospitality leave room for friendship to grow.
Prayer in chapel
Morning and evening prayer, quiet reflection, and Adoration root the experience in Christ.
Sacramental life
Mass is celebrated each day, with opportunities for Reconciliation during the weekend.
